Initial Consult

During this initial consult our tutor’s goal is to discuss the essay with the student and discover the parameters and objective of the assignment and then develop a plan to successfully complete the essay. This includes making sure the student understands the intention of the prompt, brainstorming, and creating an essay map that will serve as a guide to writing the essay. The student will leave the session knowing what they want to write about and with a concrete plan on how to execute it.

Editing Session

$75

After submitting their finished essay to our tutor, the tutor will line edit the student’s work carefully and then meet with the student to offer suggestions on how to fix any grammar errors, content errors, and structural errors.

Each Additional Review Session

$25

If the student would like any additional editing sessions to make sure any previous issues were corrected appropriately, our tutors will offer a discounted editing rate for second (or third) read throughs.

Additional Details / FAQ

*Each session is dedicated to only one (1) essay. Additional essays must be scheduled separately.

*In an effort to maintain continuity, students will have the same tutor for each session.

*The initial consult is to be held in-person; however, editing sessions can be held virtually or in-person, by client request.

* Hiring a tutor does not guarantee college admission or an award of scholarship. Admission to a college is a complicated process with multiple factors influencing the decision. A well-written essay is only one of the elements being taken into consideration when a student applies to a college. The same is true for scholarship applications. While making sure a student’s essay catches the entrance committee’s attention is something our tutors can help with, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee admission.
